Dear Mike,

This is LaVon Box, Larry's wife from Tennessee.  I would like to ask you and
the other members for some help.

As you know, Bobby Coppola was killed a week after the reunion in a car
wreck.  His wife, Jewell and I became friends during the reunion and have
been keeping in touch.  Naturally, she is really struggling with his death.
I sent her pictures that we had taken of Bobby and her, and she was so
appreciative. She said that Bobby had such a great time and fun at the
reunion that she'd like to make a grouping of the pictures, because he was
so happy being there among all the Vets.  I am in hopes, that maybe other
people had some pictures they'd like to share with her.

She is a newbie at computers, and it would be most appreciated if anyone has
'any' pictures of Bobby/her that they send them to her by postal mail. I
know you have posted one the website of him in his ten gallon hat, and I'm
positive she'd love to have that one too.

Also, if anyone wanted to drop a note of 'thinking of you' it would help.
She is having a very, very difficult time.  She feels totally alone, and I
thought asking you and the other members (family) we could help her over
some of these rough times.  She also asked me if I had any of the pictures
of the men in the groups that were taken at the banquet.  I don't, I
couldn't get a good shot as there were so many people taking pictures in
front of me.  I would also like one of the group Larry was in.  But, right
now, my main concern is for Jewell.

When the big group pictures come in that were taken at the Headquarters at
Parris Island, please send her one and the bill to me, I'll pay it.

Please if you wouldn't mind, don't post this letter on the webpage, I have
sent her the link and it might embarrass her to see it.

it was Bobby's thang and she didn't mess with it, so it's been kinda hard
explaining it to her via email how to get around it.  Also, she is very
distressed but she tries to use the computer.

I can't begin to tell you how much the reunion meant to all of us.  We were
just in awe of how well it went and especially the feeling of belonging with
such wonderful people.  It is something we will never forget, and it's a
lasting happy memory for Jewell.

I sincerely appreciate your help for Jewell, and hopefully she will get many
pictures to display of Bobby and his fellow Marines.
