That's amazing Mike! Finally, after all these years, I was able to refresh my memory of who our Lt. was in 1st Bridge Company Supply. We really loved that guy - coolest officer you ever met, but, for the life of me, I just couldn't remember his name - Torbet, it was - P.A. Torbet. He was from San Francisco, CA.
I just tryed to find him on Classmates.com, with no luck. There is a Philip Allan Torbet on Zaba People Search, born in 1944, which would be aobut the right age, but the phone is no longer in service. Guess I'll have to write a letter, unless anyone else has any ideas on how to locate the guy. Ron Mandelll

Mike, could you pass this on to the mailing list? Thanks,DougTo all:I uploaded the Command Chronology a couple of months ago to the web site. http://www.usmc.org/7th/ It had been "under construction" for a very long time so many of you have probably quit looking for it. It is a bit hard to read or "decode" if you are not familiar with military abbreviations and acronyms. On the left side of the "incident" sections are the dates and times of the incident with six digits. The first two digits indicate the day of the month and the next four digits reflect the time of day.You will need Adobe Acrobat to read them. Enjoy,Gunny Mac
