Gentlemen,

The 2009 Reunion for the 7th Engineer Battalion Vietnam Veterans Association
is going to be in 'The Crossroads Inn' at Quantico Virginia September 17th
thru 20th.

This early Email notice to you is because it is vital for you to make your
Hotel Reservation right now. 

The main reason is that 'The Crossroads Inn' is also the place that all
Active Duty Marines and their families stay and it is a guarantee that this
Hotel will be fully booked within months of today. Consider that the
families of graduates from the 'Officer Candidate School' have no other
Hotel within easy access of the Marine Corps Base. Moreover, 'The Crossroads
Inn' has the best rates for the area. 

For that matter, this is the BEST room rate, I can recall for any of our
Reunions. That alone is reason enough for you to attend. However, not the
only reasons as the reunions of the 7th Eng Bn are the best of the best.
Your fellow Marines in attendance make the experience truly memorable. Most
bring their old pictures and there is always the occasion of seeing a couple
of Marines meeting after many years. Watching and feeling the tightness
shared, of those times in country, transgress time itself. (((PT. good for
you and good for me. J)))

All kidding aside Gents, your Association puts on a top-notch program.
Saturday's Breakfast will have the Pledge of Allegiance, a Morning Prayer, a
POW/MIA ceremony and a reading of all the names of the Battalion KIA's -
truly remembering their ultimate sacrifice. Afterwards you can tour the
newly opened "Marine Corps Museum" a truly amazing display of our Marine
Corps history. The Dinner, opened with a Posting of the Colors by a Marine
Color Guard Detail, Colonel Frank Harris does a spectacle rendition of a
poem for our Flag, the traditional Marine Cake Cutting ceremony and our own
raffle.  

You may ask yourself '.why do I need to go to a reunion.' I know I asked
myself that very question, trust me I have never regretted attending. You
won't either.

I try to send it to all the major papers and magazine publications but I
know I miss some of the local area publications.
